Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 20 June 2026
Welcome to Caring from the Middle. These Terms explain how you may use our website and purchase, download and use our digital products. We have tried to keep them clear and practical, but they are important. Please read them before buying or downloading anything from our website.
1. Who we are
This website, www.caringfromthemiddle.com.au, is operated by Australian High Country Honey Pty Ltd (ABN 98 635 723 036), trading as Caring from the Middle. In these Terms, Caring from the Middle, we, us and our refer to Australian High Country Honey Pty Ltd trading as Caring from the Middle.
You can contact us at info@ahch.com.au.
2. When these Terms apply
These Terms apply when you browse or use our website, purchase a digital product, access a download link, or use one of our digital guides, templates, workbooks or other resources.
By using the website or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or purchase our products.
3. Our digital products and important disclaimers
Caring from the Middle provides digital products designed to help adult children and families feel more organised, informed and less alone while navigating caring, ageing, aged care and family decision-making.
Our products are general information and practical support tools only. They are not medical, legal, financial, counselling, aged care clinical, crisis or professional advice. They are not a substitute for advice from appropriately qualified professionals who understand your personal situation.
You should seek professional advice before making decisions about health care, legal or estate matters, financial arrangements, safety, care services, accommodation, or urgent care needs. In an emergency, contact emergency services.
We take reasonable care to create thoughtful, useful and accurate resources. However, every family and caring situation is different, and we do not guarantee a particular outcome, result or decision from using our products.
4. Product descriptions and availability
We aim to describe our products clearly and accurately, including what is included and the format in which each product is supplied. Any previews, images or examples are provided to help you understand the product before purchase.
We may update, correct, pause or discontinue products from time to time. We may also correct errors in product descriptions, pricing or availability. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
5. Digital delivery and access
After successful payment through Shopify, a download link or digital file will be sent to the email address you provide at checkout. Please check that your email address is correct before completing your purchase.
Access to downloads may be managed through Shopify and/or a digital delivery application. Download links may have reasonable access limits, such as expiry periods or a maximum number of downloads, to help protect our intellectual property.
If you have paid for a product and cannot access your download because of a genuine technical issue, please contact us at info@ahch.com.au with your order details and we will take reasonable steps to help.
We may suspend or revoke access to a download if we reasonably believe there has been fraud, payment reversal, unauthorised sharing, excessive downloading, or other misuse of our products. If we have made an error, we will work with you to restore appropriate access.
6. Technical requirements
You are responsible for ensuring you have the internet connection, device and software needed to download, open and use the file format stated in the product description, such as a PDF reader or ZIP extraction tool.
We are not responsible for issues caused by your device, internet connection, email settings, software limitations, or failure to check the product format before buying. This does not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Prices, GST and payment
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). Where GST is required, prices displayed to Australian consumers should be GST-inclusive unless clearly stated otherwise. The total price payable will be shown before you complete your purchase.
Prices may change at any time before purchase. Price changes do not affect orders already accepted unless there has been an obvious error, in which case we will contact you.
Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its payment providers. We do not store your full credit card details on our own systems. Your bank or payment provider may charge additional fees, such as foreign transaction fees, which are outside our control.
8. Refunds, faults and Australian Consumer Law
Because our products are digital downloads that can usually be accessed immediately after purchase, we do not provide refunds or exchanges for change of mind, accidental purchase, incorrect selection, or failure to check product compatibility before buying.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a digital product has a major problem, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a refund, replacement, correction or other remedy. A major problem may include a file that is corrupted, unusable, not supplied, or materially different from the product description, where the problem cannot be fixed within a reasonable time.
If a problem is minor and can be fixed, we will aim to provide a corrected file, replacement download link, or other reasonable solution within a reasonable time.
To request help with a fault or access issue, contact info@ahch.com.au with your order number, the email address used at checkout, and a clear description of the problem.
9. Intellectual property and permitted use
Our website content and digital products, including text, guides, templates, workbooks, layouts, designs, graphics and downloads, are owned by or licensed to Caring from the Middle and are protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws.
When you purchase a digital product, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that product for your own personal and family caring support purposes.
You may download, save and print a copy for your own use. You may also share completed worksheets or relevant extracts with people directly involved in your personal caring situation, such as family members, support people, health professionals, aged care providers or advisers, where this is reasonably necessary for your own care planning.
You must not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, distribute, sell, resell, sub-license, upload, publish, share download links, place files in public or shared online folders, or use our products to create a competing product or commercial service without our written permission.
Commercial use, workplace training use, bulk distribution, client use, or use by organisations requires our prior written permission unless the product description expressly allows that use.
If we reasonably believe a product, or part therof, has been unlawfully shared, copied or distributed, we may suspend access and take appropriate action to protect our rights.
10. Reviews, testimonials and user content
If you submit a review, testimonial, comment or other content to us or through our website, you confirm that it is your own honest content and that it does not infringe another person's rights.
Please avoid including private, sensitive or identifying information about yourself or other people in public reviews, including health details, family conflict, financial details or information about an older person's care.
By submitting a review or testimonial, you give us permission to use, publish and display it in connection with Caring from the Middle, including on our website, product pages, emails and marketing materials. We may edit it for length, grammar or formatting, but we will not intentionally change its meaning.
We may remove or decline to publish content that is offensive, defamatory, misleading, unlawful, spam, or otherwise inappropriate.
11. Third-party platforms and links
Our website may rely on third-party platforms and service providers, including Shopify, payment gateways, email services, analytics tools and digital download applications. We are not responsible for outages, delays, errors or security issues caused by third-party platforms, except to the extent required by law.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from your misuse of our website or products.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our liability is limited to resupplying the product, providing an equivalent product, correcting the product, or refunding the amount paid for the affected product, depending on what is reasonable in the circumstances.
13. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can contact us about privacy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with the latest update date. The Terms that apply to your purchase are the Terms in place at the time you complete that purchase, unless a change is required by law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Any dispute relating to these Terms, the website or our products will be dealt with by the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in the Australian Capital Territory, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer laws.
